He is the founder/ Executive Director of Bloodlink Foundation, a charitable trust registered in Kenya in 2004. Bloodlink Foundation is a partner with the National Blood Donor Services/ Ministry of Health in recruitment of blood donors and currently recruits 15% of all blood donors in Kenya. Bloodlink Foundation is also a first aid training accredited institution.
He was the CEO at St John Kenya from January 2015 to September 2015.
He undertook his MBA in Non Profit Management at the University of St. Thomas, Minneapolis, MN, USA and a three month internship at Children Heartlink, a Non-profit based in Minneapolis in 1995 through sponsorship by USAID. He is also a graduate of Egerton University.
Between 1995 and 2000, he was the General Manager of Heart To Heart Foundation where he established the Dettol Heart Run (renamed the Mater Heart Run), an event he successfully managed for six years raising millions of shillings to help children with heart ailments undergo heart surgery.
From 2001 to 2002 he was the Executive Officer at the Kenya Medical Association.
A passionate fundraiser, Joseph Wang’endo has helped raise millions of shillings for various other philanthropic causes including Bloodlink Foundation.
Joseph has been a speaker at different fundraising forums around the world. The International Workshop on Resource Mobilization, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, 2008, International Fundraising Congress, opening plenary, Netherlands, October 2008 and the Association of Fundraising Professionals annual meeting in Chicago 2011. He is also a regular speaker at the annual Eastern Africa Workshop on Resource Mobilization organised by the Kenya Association of Fundraising Professionals.
He is the Secretary of the Kenya Association of Fundraising Professionals, Member, Association of Donor Recruitment Professionals (USA) and advisory board member of Certified Fundraising Executive International (CFRE) Program based in the USA.

A keen marathon runner, Joseph managed the International Women’s AIDS Run 2004 and has consulted for the Standard chartered Marathon 05/06. He has run and completed 7 international marathons including London, Nairobi (3) and Chicago (3) .
He was listed on the International WHO’S WHO of professionals’ 2006/7 edition for “exemplary achievement and distinguished contributions to the community”.
He is an ICT Champion, Academician, and a newspaper Columnists with the Kenyan Newspapers Daily Nation and its sister publication, Business Daily. He is a former Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Information and Communication where he served from 2005 to 2013.He currently serves as an Associate Professor of Entrepreneurship at the University of Nairobi’s Business School where he teaches and researches on entrepreneurship and research methods with most of his research work being focused on ICT and small and medium enterprises and their influence on economic development in Kenya.
Prof. Ndemo holds a PhD in Industrial Economics from the University of Sheffield in the UK, an MBA from the University of St. Thomas (Minnesota) in the USA and bachelor’s degree in Finance from the University of Minnesota. He is the immediate past Honorary Chair of the Alliance for Affordable Internet (A4AI) and an Advisor to the Better than Cash Alliance, a global initiative to digitize payments.
Has more than 20 years administrative experience in the professional education and training sector. She initially worked for 10 years in the Training Department of a major UK retailer. She then spent 3 years in the Education and Training Department of the Chartered Institute of Public Finance and Accountancy where her career in providing administrative support for Awarding Bodies began.
In March 2006 she joined the Qualifications Department of the CIPR (now known as the CIPR Awarding Body), initially on a part-time basis, primarily assessing and processing student applications. With her experience and skills set she then began taking on more responsibilities within the Department and was the key contributor in creating an on-line joining platform for CIPR Qualifications.
She has been instrumental in creating robust Awarding Body processes and procedures and in July 2015 she was promoted to the position she currently holds as Senior Awarding Body Officer of the CIPR.
David Maingi is a public policy, development, media and strategic communication specialist with extensive leadership experience in nine countries in Africa. He has led and advised some of the Africa’s largest blue chip, public sector and international development organizations to manage risk, identify opportunity and to overcome critical stakeholder engagement challenges.
With more than 18 years of senior advisory and team leadership experience in public and private sector organizations, he has delivered critical assignments in engaging markets, communities, public and private organizations, media and policy makers for marketplace, economic and social development in sub-Saharan Africa.
David currently serves as the Director for Communications at the Alliance for a Green Revolution in Africa (AGRA). He is a fully qualified member of the Chartered Institute of Public Relations (CIPR), UK, and holds the CIPR Dip. Public Relations, a MSc. Public Administration and International Development degree from the University of Birmingham, UK, a MA Mass Communications degree and a PG Dip. Business Administration, both from the University of Leicester, UK.
